Costello, Commander, Cruiser Destroyer Group One, addresses media embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CV 64) on March 13, 2003, in the Arabian Gulf. During a media briefing held the day before, Rear Adm. Costello stated "There is a well-founded confidence that if we are ordered to go forward, it will be lightening quick, it will be persistent, it will be lethal and it will be precise."
