BERLIN, March 9 (UPI) -- Europe's key powers want Denmark's prime minister to head the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

WARSAW, Poland, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- The United States and Poland signed an agreement Wednesday in Poland to locate part of a controversial U.S. missile defense system in that country.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- It's finally a deal: Poland agreed Thursday to allow the United States to build an anti-ballistic missile interceptor base on its territory.

WASHINGTON, July 17 (UPI) -- The United States is committed, under Article 5 of the 1949 Washington Treaty, to defend its European NATO allies, including Poland, from any foreign aggression. But Poland's current leaders aren't eager to do their part in protecting the United States from thermonuclear attack.
