SACRAMENTO, July 11 (UPI) -- One person has died in the Butte County, Calif., wildfire, officials confirmed Friday as California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger called up more help.

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., May 22 (UPI) -- California residents near the Santa Cruz Mountains were evacuated Thursday as wildfires burned about 1,000 acres and threatened several homes, officials said.
