Paul Mara (born September 7, 1979) is an American professional ice hockey player currently playing for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He attended Belmont Hill High School and was drafted 7th overall in the first round of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

On June 26, 2006, he was traded to the Boston Bruins for fellow defenseman Nick Boynton.

On February 27, 2007, Mara was traded to the New York Rangers for Aaron Ward.
