IRAQI ENVOY BREMER MEETS WITH BUSH

WASHINGTON, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- "The future" isn't just oil, the head of the U.S. branch of Iraq's Kurdish government said while courting investors in Washington Monday.

BAGHDAD, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- A new law in Iraq will allow thousands of allies of former leader Saddam Hussein to return to roles in public life.

Shebab Al Iraq newspaper carried an editorial Thursday with the headline "The U.S. electoral contest and Iraq."

BAGHDAD, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- The Iraqi Cabinet on Wednesday approved a draft law making foreign security contractors subject to Iraqi laws and liability.

The Baghdad-based Al Mada newspaper in an editorial Monday -- headlined “"The U.S. presence in Iraq: Questions need to be answered" – criticized U.S. policies in Iraq.
