NEW YORK, May 14 (UPI) -- A sports memorabilia company pulled an illegally corked bat, allegedly Mickey Mantle's, from auction after a statement of complaint by the Mantle family.

ATLANTA, March 31 (UPI) -- Cy Young Award winner Bob Turley, a member of the New York Yankees of the 1950s, has died at a Georgia hospice, his family said. He was 82.

Merlyn Mantle, widow of Mickey, dies

PLANO, Texas, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Merlyn Mantle, the widow of baseball great Mickey Mantle, has died in Plano, Texas, at age 77 from Alzheimer's disease, a family spokesman said.
