Melissa Joan Rivers (born Melissa Warburg Rosenberg on January 20, 1968) is an American television co-host and the daughter of Joan Rivers.

Melissa Warburg Rosenberg was born in Manhattan on January 20, 1968; the only child of Joan Rivers and British-born producer Edgar Rosenberg, who committed suicide in 1987. Melissa took on her mother's stage surname. She is of Jewish descent on her mother's side and British and German on her father's side.

Rivers attended the private John Thomas Dye School in Bel-Air and then The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California. She is a 1989 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
