Max-Peter Ratzel (1949-) is a German law enforcement officer, and the Director of Europol, the European Union law enforcement organisation that handles criminal intelligence.

He was born in Dillingen/Saar, in Germany, in 1949.

Ratzel studied mathematics and physics in the University of Saarbrücken and served in the German Air Force.
