Mark Gordon (born 10 October 1956) is an American television and film producer.
He is originally from Newport News, Virginia. He has worked on numerous projects as both producer and executive producer including A Pyromaniac's Love Story, Speed, 10,000 B.C., The Jackal, A Simple Plan and Saving Private Ryan. He has also been an executive producer on TV series like Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Army Wives and Reaper.
Gordon and scribe Michael Seitzman are now two-for-two this pilot season, scoring a greenlight from CBS for their Washington, D.C.-based drama "House Rules." Eye has also greenlit laffer "The Fish Tank," from scribes Cathy Yuspa and Josh Goldsmith, and the hour-long "A Marriage," from "Thirtysomething" creators Marshall Herskovitz and Ed Zwick. The "House Rules" pickup comes just days after ABC picked up another Mark Gordon Co. project penned by Seitzman ("North Country"), the Manhattan sudser "Empire State." "House Rules" revolves around the freshman class of elected representatives in Washington. Seitzman will exec produce with Gordon and Deborah Spera. ABC Studios is behind the pilot.
