Songwriter JJ Cale dead at 74

LOS ANGELES, July 27 (UPI) -- JJ Cale, whose songs became hits for Eric Clapton, Johnny Cash and Lynyrd Skynyrd, has died at a hospital in La Jolla, Calif., his agent said. He was 74.
