Marcus Terrell Thornton (born June 5, 1987 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) is an American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the NBA.

He averaged 27 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as a senior at Tara High School in Baton Rouge, LA.

He played collegiately at Louisiana State University (LSU) where he was elected the Southeastern Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year in 2009.
