Josh Johnson (born May 15, 1986 in Oakland, California) is the starting American football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. He played college football quarterback for the University of San Diego Toreros. He was selected by the Buccaneers in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played high school football at Oakland Technical High School.

Johnson attended Oakland Technical High School and was a student and a letterman in football, basketball, and track & field. In football, as a senior, he was named the team's Most Improved Player, was a first team All-City selection, and led his team to the Oakland Athletic League Championship.

Johnson is the cousin of running back Marshawn Lynch. Both attended Oakland Technical High School. Also, Lynch is cousin to former Cal receiver Robert Jordan, who is also cousin to Oakland Raiders quarterback, JaMarcus Russell. Johnson is also the cousin of Oakland rapper and fellow Oakland Tech alumnus Mistah FAB
