Latvian bill would ban Soviet, Nazi symbols

RIGA, Latvia, June 21 (UPI) -- The Latvian parliament has given final approval to a bill banning the public display of all Soviet and Nazi symbols and the use of their anthems.

Remains of 11 people in Moscow buried in 1930s

MOSCOW, May 14 (UPI) -- Police in Moscow said Tuesday the remains of 11 people discovered last week were initially buried approximately 80 years ago.

Stalin monument to be restored in hometown

STRASBOURG, France, April 16 (UPI) -- The European Court of Human Rights ruled Monday it couldn't consider complaints from victims' relatives about Russia's investigation of the 1940 Katyn massacre.
