'American Taliban' moved to Colo prison

NEW YORK, April 11 (UPI) -- John Walker Lindh, known as the "American Taliban" has been moved to the federal supermax prison in Colorado where he is being held in solitary confinement.

Bush asked to shorten Lindh sentence

SAN FRANCISCO, April 5 (UPI) -- Lawyers for John Walker Lindh, the California man known as "The American Taliban," asked U.S. President George Bush to commute Lindh's 20-year sentence.

John Walker (born April 25, 1983 in Wahiawā, Hawai'i) is an arena football defensive back with the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League.

Walker attended Birmingham High School in Van Nuys, California and was a letterman in football and track.
