DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF FALCON III

United States Attorney General Alberto Gonzales (C) announces the results of the national law enforcement initiative FALCON III (Federal and Local Cops Organized Nationally), at a press conference at the Justice Department, in Washington on November 2, 2006. FALCON III was seven-day nationally coordinate fugitive roundup program led by the US Marshals Service that lead to the arrest of 10,733 fugitives, including 1,659 sex offenders, the largest number ever captured in a single effort.
