U.S. singer-guitarist Joan Jett said she is hopeful viewers of the new film "The Runaways" leave with a new appreciation for her former band of the same name.
"The Runaways," a 1970s-set film about an all-girl, teenage rock band, is to premiere at Utah's Sundance film festival, the movie's distributors announced.
Joan Jett is suing a member of her first band for attempting to block a movie about her hard rock girl band, a complaint filed in New York said.
