Keith Appleyard was played by Ian Redford. Keith is Angela Harris's father. When she and her family lived in Sheffield, she witnessed a murder. Keith persuaded Angela to tell the truth and testify against the criminals at the trial, which resulted in their move to Weatherfield under the witness protection scheme. They were also given a new name - Nelson - but didn't use it for long.
