Jeroen van der Veer (born October 27, 1947 in Utrecht, Netherlands) was the CEO of the petroleum corporation Royal Dutch Shell until June 30, 2009.

Van der Veer joined Shell in 1971 and worked in manufacturing and marketing in the Netherlands, Curaçao and the United Kingdom.

Van der Veer graduated in 1971 from Delft University with an engineer's degree in mechanical engineering and went on to earn an MSc degree in economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. In 2005 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria.
