Actor James Stewart with actress Bette Davis

Actor James Stewart, 87, seen here in a 1982 file photo with actress Bette Davis, slipped and fell Thursday Dec 21 at his Beverly Hills home and was taken to hospital, a Beverly Hills Police Department spoeksman said. The injury was not serious. Stewart won an academy awar for "The Philadelphia Story " and starred in the Christmas classic "It's a Wonderful Life." He was nominated for best actor Oscars four other times and won a lifetime achievement award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1984.
