Irene Blecker Rosenfeld (born May 3, 1953) is the Chairman and CEO of Kraft Foods.
Rosenfeld was born in Brooklyn, and later brought up in Westbury, New York to parents Seymour and Joan Blecker, a young Jewish couple. Her father’s parents were Romanian Jews, her mother’s grandparents were German Jews. She holds a Ph.D. in Marketing and Statistics, an MBA, and a B.A. degree in Psychology from Cornell University.
Rosenfeld has worked for 25 years in the food and beverage industry. Her first job was at Dancer Fitzgerald Sample advertising agency in New York and she later joined General Foods in consumer research.
