Sid Caesar with co-star Imogene Coca
New York: The rumored separation of TV’s great threesome of Sid Caesar, Imogene Coca, and producer Max Liebman, has become a reality. The widely acclaimed trio whose “Your Show of Shows” contracts expire at the end of this season, came to an agreement on February 24, 1954, after weeks of huddling. Caesar will reportedly sign a ten-year contract which will provide his own one-hour television show next season. Miss Cola will participate next fall in a half-hour situation comedy series. Liebman, the genius behind the current 90-minute musical and comedy program, will continue as producer next season of Your Show of Shows with a new cast and format. This photo was taken earlier.
