Henry J. Kaiser (2nd from left), who became a legend in industry before his death in 1967, was born 100 years ago on May 9, 1882. An exhibit called “A Man of Vision”, featuring photographs and memorabilia of his career, is on display at the Kaiser Center here in Oakland, California, in celebration of the centennial of his birth. In this photo, Kaiser is shown with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, when the latter visited a Kaiser shipyard in Portland, Oregon on September 9, 1942.
