Dr. Han Seung-soo (born 28 December 1936 in Gangwon-do) is a Korean politician and diplomat. He has been the Prime Minister of South Korea since February 2008, and he was the President of the 56th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, in 2001 and 2002.

Han received his bachelor's degree from Yonsei University in 1960. He acquired his master's from Seoul National University in 1963 and his doctorate in economics from University of York in 1968. He went on to hold various professorial positions in the United Kingdom and South Korea.

He was first elected to the National Assembly in 1988. He was ambassador to the United States from 1993 to 1994, chief of staff to President Kim Young Sam from 1994 to 1995, and Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister from 1996 to 1997.
