Wiki

Fred Harold Hale, Sr. (December 1, 1890 – November 19, 2004) was an American supercentenarian who became the oldest recognized verified living man in the United States following the death of John Ingram McMorran in February 2003 and the oldest living recognized man in the world following the death of Spaniard Joan Riudavets in March 2004. Hale is one of the ten verified oldest men ever.

Fred Hale was born in Maine on December 1, 1890, during a time when there were only forty-three stars on the American flag.

A retired railroad postal worker and beekeeper, Fred married Flora Mooers in 1910, the year their first child was born.
