During the meeting Elvis asked if Nixon could give him an official badge from the Federal Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, once-secret papers revealed. Elvis told Nixon that he wanted to lend his name to the president's law enforcement initiative. In a letter to Nixon, Elvis made a pitch to be named a federal drug enforcement agent.
