Daymond R. Langkow (born September 27, 1976 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) is a professional ice hockey player. He's a centremen and an alternate captain of the Calgary Flames. His older brother, Scott Langkow, is a goaltender who plays in Europe for the Krefeld Penguins. He previously played for the Phoenix Coyotes, Tampa Bay Lightning and Philadelphia Flyers in his 12-year professional career.
Drafted 5th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft after a season in which he led the WHL in scoring with a total of 140 points while playing for the Tri-City Americans, Daymond Langkow is an aggressive, fast power forward who is always in front of the goal, has also starred for the Philadelphia Flyers and the Phoenix Coyotes.
On December 12, 1998, the Tampa Bay Lightning traded Mikael Renberg and Daymond Langkow to the Philadelphia Flyers for Chris Gratton and Mike Sillinger.
