Bonnie Somerville (born February 24, 1974) is an American actress and singer. As an actress, she has had roles in a number of movies and television series, most notably NYPD Blue, Grosse Pointe, Friends, and The O.C..

Somerville was born and raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn. She started acting and singing at a young age, appearing in high school plays at Poly Prep Country Day School in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Somerville attended Boston College as a Musical Theater major, and returned home upon completing her education in order to try acting professionally.

In 2004, she dated Zach Braff - an actor noted for his leading role in the NBC/ABC sitcom Scrubs.
