HISTORIC FINISH IN RUNOFF ELECTION IN LOUISIANA
The November 15, 2003 runoff election for Louisiana governor will result in a historical finish. If Democrat Lt. Governor Kathleen B. Blanco (L) wins, she will be the first woman to be governor of the state. If former Bush administration advisor Republican Bobby Jindal (R) wins, he will be the first Indian-American, and first person of color to be Governor of Louisiana since 1872. By all the current polls they both have 42% of the vote at this time. (UPI/James Terry III)
