Bill Green (born William Hipkiss April 28, 1960 in Laurel, Maryland) is a retired American athlete who finished fifth in the hammer throw in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California.

Green graduated from Fremont High School in Sunnyvale, California in 1978. He went on to graduate in 1984 with a BA in Political Science from Long Beach State University in Long Beach, California. Green is married and has two children, one son and one daughter.

He was inducted into the Long Beach State Athletic Hall of Fame in October 2001.
