Anne Woods Patterson (born 1949) is an American diplomat and career Foreign Service Officer. She served as acting United States Ambassador to the United Nations in 2005 and has served as United States Ambassador to Pakistan since May 2007.

Patterson was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College and attended graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for one year.

Patterson entered the Foreign Service in 1973.
