BAGHDAD, March 2 (UPI) -- An Iraqi tribunal Monday sentenced Ali Hassan al-Majid, known as "Chemical Ali," to death for his role in the violent suppression of a 1999 Shiite uprising.
BAGHDAD, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Two dozen officials from Saddam Hussein's government went on trial for their roles in the deaths of thousands of Saddam's opponents in Iraq, officials said.
BAGHDAD, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Ali Hassan al-Majid, known as "Chemical Ali," was sentenced to die Tuesday for quelling a Shiite uprising against Saddam Hussein, Iraqi officials said.
