LEADER OF AL QAEDA IS KILLED
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the most wanted terrorist in Iraq, was killed after an American air strike destroyed a safe house north of Baghdad on June 7, 2006, it was announced on June 8, 2006. The United States had placed a $25 million bounty on Zarqawi, wanted for his leadership of Islamic terrorist groups that have carried out many of the most brutal attacks of the war, including suicide bombings, kidnappings and beheadings.
