Arackaparambil Kurian Antony (Malayalam: അറക്കപ്പറമ്പില്‍ കുര്യന്‍ ആന്‍‌റ്റണി) (born 28 December 1940) is the current Defence Minister of India and Congress party working committee member.

He is a former Chief Minister of Kerala. The first term from April 27, 1977 to October 27, 1978, the second one from March 22, 1995 to May 9, 1996 and the third term from May 17, 2001 to August 29, 2004. When he became Chief Minister in 1977, he was the youngest Chief Minister of the State. He was the Leader of Opposition in Kerala Legislative Assembly during 1996 to 2001.

A.K. Antony was born in the Cherthala Taluk, Alappuzha district of Kerala in a Catholic Christian family. His nickname is Thankachan. Antony completed his primary education in Holy Family Boys High school (Lower primary)and Government Boys High school (Upper primary), Cherthala (Both these schools are mixed higher secondary schools now and the latter changed its name to Sree Narayana Memorial Government Higher Secondary School)and completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from Maharajas College, Ernakulam and Bachelor of Law from Government Law College, Ernakulam.
