Indiana Pacers waive F/C Kevin Seraphin after one season

Kevin Seraphin's run in Indiana is over after just one season.

Seraphin was officially waived by the Pacers on Tuesday before his $1.9 million salary for next season was set to become fully guaranteed. The Vertical was first to report the move on Monday.

The seven-year veteran forward/center averaged 4.7 points and 2.9 rebounds in 49 games with the Pacers last season.

Seraphin was drafted with the No. 17 overall pick in 2010 and spent his first five seasons with the Washington Wizards before signing on with the New York Knicks for the 2015-16 season.

He joined the Pacers on a multi-year deal before the 2016-17 campaign.

Seraphin has career averages of 5.9 points and 3.5 rebounds in 423 games. The French Guiana native averaged a career-high 9.1 points with the Wizards during the 2012-13 season.
