Josef Ackermann Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank AG (NYSE: DB) indicated that the company aimed to strengthen its consumer banking and asset and wealth management divisions. DB also aims to extend its “market leadership” position in Germany, while lowering its costs as a percentage of revenues. DB’s strategy is aimed at boosting the company’s profitability and revenue generation in Asia. DB’s stock has appreciated up 73% so far this year, as compared to a 42% rise in the Bloomberg Europe Banks and Financial Services Index.
