Washington Post is a media and education company. Co.'s media operations consists of newspaper publishing (The Washington Post), the ownership and operation of six television broadcast stations, magazine publishing (Newsweek magazine), and the ownership and operation of cable television systems. Co.'s educational services are provided through its subsidiary, Kaplan Inc. under two categories: supplemental education, which consists of the Test Preparation and Admissions Division, the Professional Division, and Kaplan Publishing; and higher education, which consist of Kaplan's Higher Education Division and several companies that provide higher education services outside the U.S.
