RadioShack is engaged in the retail sale of consumer electronics goods and services through its RadioShack store chain and non- RadioShack branded kiosk operations. At Dec 31 2006, Co. operated 4,467 company-operated stores under the RadioShack brand, located throughout the U.S., as well as in Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Also, Co. operated 772 kiosks located throughout the U.S. and had 1,587 dealer outlets, including 36 located outside the North America and 14 in Canada. In addition, Co. also had nine company-operated stores located in shopping malls and strip centers and 14 dealer outlets in Canada, and 146 RadioShack -branded stores and 25 dealers in Mexico. |
