Air Methods provides air medical emergency transport services under two separate operating models: the Community-Based Model (CBM) and the Hospital-Based Model (HBM). Through these models, Co. transports persons requiring intensive medical care from either the scene of an accident or general care hospitals to trauma centers or tertiary care centers. As of Dec 31 2006, Co.'s CBM and HBM divisions provided air medical transportation services in 18 U.S. states, and 26 U.S. states, respectively. In addition, Co. also designs, manufactures and installs aircraft medical interiors and other aerospace or medical transport products through its Products Division.
