Fast Money Picks For Wednesday (GD, CVC, CBS, WHR)
CNBC's Fast Money Joe Terranova wants to buy General Dynamics (NYSE: GD). He is encouraged by the speech Obama made on Afganistan. General Dynamics (GD) gained 1.88% and closed at $67.14.
Guy Adami would buy Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE: CVC) as he believes they might become a takeover target. Cablevision (CVC) added 0.60% today.
Karen Finerman likes CBS (NYSE: CBS), while Steve Grasso thinks Whirlpool Corporation (NYSE: WHR) is a buy. He expects that government could provide an incentive for energy efficient home improvements, similar to cash for clunkers. Whirlpool jumped 3.79% today and closed at $76.97, while CBS added 2.65%.

Dish Network Profits Fall, Will Pay Dividends (DISH, CMCSA, CVC, DTV)
The 2nd largest Satellite TV provider in the US, Dish Network (NASDAQ: DISH) , reported falling profits of $81 million or 18 cents a share compared to $92 million or 20 cents a share for the same quarter the previous year. Dish Network’s revenues also fell 1.5% to $2.89 million.
Dish Network, despite gaining 241,000 subscribers, faced strong competition from cable providers like Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA) and Cablevision Systems Corp. (NYSE: CVC) , as well as, larger direct competitors in satellite TV provider, Direct TV(NYSE: DTV) .
Dish Network is set to pay dividends of $2.00 per share. Dish Network Corp. prices rose 6.53% in the pre-market trading.
