WAP2001122706 - 27 DECEMBER 2001 - KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN: Chief Machinist Mate Jon Scott of Virginia Beach, Va., assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Mobile Unit Two, Detachment-18 instructs Sailors and Marines on procedures for moving confiscated weapons to for future disposal. U.S. Navy Sailors and Marines have been extensively used to secure and destroy bombs abandoned by fleeing Al Qaida troops.
