THE DESTROYER USS BENFOLD CONDUCTS MARITIME INTERCEPTION OPERATIONS IN THE GULF

BEN97112101 - 21 NOVEMBER 1997 - ABOARD THE USS BENFOLD, IN THE PERSIAN GULF: Gunner's Mate (Guns) 1st Class Joe Brown, from Arlington, Texas, mans a 25mm chain gun while on watch in the Persian Gulf. The ship, home ported in San Diego, California , is currently deployed with the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) battle group under the U.S. NavyÕs Fifth Fleet.
