5000 hectare forest fire threatens Salmon Arm and area

SAR98081106 - 11 AUGUST 1998 - SALMON ARM, B.C. CANADA: The threat of strong winds, August 10, on a 5000 hectare forest fire which caused the evacuation of half of the Salmon Arm area never fully materialized though occasional gusts fanned hot spots like this one on the Fly Hills.
