PIERRE GEMAYEL ANTI-SYRIAN POLITICIAN ASSASSINATED

Gemayel is the fifth anti-Syrian killed in the past two years. Gemayel comes from a family of prominent Lebanese politicians. His father, Amin, served as President from 1982 to 1988. Amin became president after his bother, Bashir, was assassinated days before taking the office of president.
