SUPPORTS OF THE HAITIAN PRESIDENT JEAN BERTRAND ARISTIDE

Several thousand supporters of Haitian President Jean Bertrand Aristide took to the streets of Port Au Prince for a racuous but peaceful march on Saturday February 28, 2004. Marchers called for Aristide to be allowed to complete his five-year term in the face of an armed rebellion in the country's north which has its sites on the capital and mounting international pressure that he resign to avoid further instability and bloodshed.
