"REFLECTING ABSENCE" CHOSEN FOR THE WORLD TRADE CENTER MEMORIAL

A design titled "Reflecting Absence" by Michael Arad was chosen on Jan. 6, 2004 as the design for the World Trade Center memorial capping a 8 month international contest that drew more than 5,000 submissions.Modifications are expected on the design which features two reflecting pools of water on the footprints of the twin towers.
