ST. LOUIS CARDINALS RICK ANKIEL OUT FOR SEASON

The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that pitcher turned outfielder Rick Ankiel will miss the rest of the 2006 season after having surgery on his right knee on June 14, 2006. Ankiel injured the patellar tendon in his leg during spring training and has been sidelined since then. (UPI Photo/MLB)
