SAN DIEGO FIRE EMERGENCY

California Governor Grey Davis (Center) takes first look at San Diego fire demage in Scripps Ranch neighborhood on October 27, 2003. In Scripps Ranch approx 160 homes were lost. Fires spread from Ramona southwest to enter San Diego city limits with all fires consuming 255,000 acres, burning 360 structures, leaving 13 fatalities, with 800 firefighters on fire lines to date.
