ACTOR OSSIE DAVIS DIES AT THE AGE OF 87

Activist, actor, director Ossie Davis was found dead in his hotel room in Miami on 2/4/05 at the age of 87. The noted actor was working on a film called "Retirement" Davis gained fame with his play "Purlie Victorious" and his direction of the film "Cotton Comes to Harlem"and as a cast regular on the tv series "Evening Shades" (UPI Photo/Ezio Petersen)
