Jared Leto thanks 'future ex-wife' Lupita Nyong'o at Independent Spirit Awards

LOS ANGELES, March 2 (UPI) -- Even Jared Leto can't resist Lupita Nyong'o's charms.

The Dallas Buyers Club actor thanked a lot of people when he picked up an Independent Spirit Award on Saturday night, including Matthew McConaughey, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Wayne Gretzky and the "makers of vegan butter."

"I want to thank all the women I've been with and all the women who think they've been with me," he added, "and my future ex-wife."

"Lupita, I'm thinking about you baby," he joked.

Leto and Nyong'o are often photographed together at awards shows, leading tabloids to speculate about a possible romantic connection. Nyong'o discussed their rumored relationship with Ellen DeGeneres last month.

"You know it's crazy cause when I read these rumors, they're so detailed that even I start to question whether they're true or not," Nyong'o said. "I know I've believed them in the past and now I guess I can't believe anything."
