NEW YORK, March 1 (UPI) -- Kerry Washington sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday night to discuss, among other things, Scandal's enormous international following.

Washington said that the Scandal cast once live-tweeted a South African premiere, and noted that her show goes by a different title on the African continent.

"Yes, in South Africa, the whole continent of Africa, we have a different name," she said. "Cause there is a show out of Nigeria called Scandal, so we're called The Fixer. In Africa. But in other countries, yes, there are other people who have Olivia Pope's voice."

But the highlight of her appearance was Kimmel's segue into Escandalo, Jimmy Kimmel Live's Spanish-language spoof of the high-stakes series, which gets even more melodramatic when you film it like a telenovela.

Washington ends up in bed with Kimmel's sidekick Guillermo Diaz, and several other members of the real-life Scandal cast show up -- including Bellamy Young (Mellie), Katie Lowes (Quinn), Joshua Malina (David).

Kimmel will air several more versions of the faux-series throughout the season.
